ComfyChan – Dead

ComfyChan, (formerly Classichan) provides the classic 4chan experience. Comfychan was born in early may this year when a couple anons were talking about making a new altchan. People missed the 4chan of old, and were getting tired of shadowy mods and politics/coomers on modern 4chan. It got too serious for something that started as a little anime website.

Comfychan is an altchan where politics and pron are banned, where posts are removed and people are temp banned instead of perma banned (because smaller community=more manageable), and which has a far more pleasant and interesting community reminiscent of an older era of 4chan, when it was just anime girls insulting everyone instead of some political/horny [crap]hole. It has an approach of quantity<quality when it comes to community building, so it doesn’t try to have a bigger community than 4chan, but instead a better one

2025 Return: As of 8-12-25 I have ComfyChan readded to AllChans.

It seems this chan died recently

Its back, I usually leave them on here for a bit in case it is temporary.

    It’s dead again

    1. All Chans

I stopped adding empty chans a while ago. Needs more content. The empty sites end up becoming spam and cp spots from poor moderation or just disappear a month after adding because being added to AllChans doesnt suddenly bring a community of posters.

love the updates on this site. always up to date and adding/removing. keep it up 🙂
which are the newest adds btw?

  8. All Chans

I do not have a way to see new additions currently. I used to do a post when I would do a batch but lately I’ve been doing them one at a time as the requests roll in. Also… 90% of the new ones fail in the first few months so it was getting frustrating adding them and creating posts when that would happen. If I do big updates I’ll still make posts.

Consolidate all the sharty clones into their own section (example: Soyjak.party (SwedishWin / The Shemmy / The Kuzzy / etc). I believe this would clean up the boardlist.

What a nigger admin. Half the links on the front page are dead and he acts like he gatekeeps new places for quality reasons lmao

    1. All Chans

      Couple things..
      1. If you are the person who just randomly sends forms that just say n-this n-that, and a fake reply email.. I have had a spam filter on all your usual keywords for a while now. You never said anything useful previously.
      2. If half the links do not work, that is menu caching on your end or a giant exaggeration.. I just checked and 7 were down out of over 120 and those are fresh from last month when I did a major addition/removal run. Also, I have said before, I dont just remove dead boards right away.. many come back a few weeks later.
      3. I also do not gatekeep new places… when someone submits a site, assuming it isnt caught by spam with your typical language, I have a low bar of it at least looking like it has some content and has been around for a few months.. even if it is obviously the owner pre-filling boards with content. Then there are the bascis of legal content, and ease of converting to english for foreign boards. I do sit on requests a few weeks to see that they are moderated or have signs that they are checked on regularily. 90% of the new additions of a brand new site with no content get spammed and die within a month, so I stopped added them right away. When people use fake emails, I have no way to let them know the reason. For amny I just ask them to resubmit a month later when it has more content.

What chan are you even whining about?

      1. Anonymous

I’m not whoever is harassing you.

I went through all the links on the 9th and about a quarter of them had issues. Either straight up dead links, HTTPS errors like Tohnochan (which was also dead for ages), one (averi.foo) hits me with a cloudflare block even off Tor and one (goeshard) has posting disabled. Why is that even still in the list? Then you have a BBS like cy-x in there and an increasing amount of boards in the list are feuding sharty splinters. The spotty quality looks bad after seeing an admin post with this in it
        >90% of the new ones fail in the first few months so it was getting frustrating adding them and creating posts when that would happen
You should have spent the time drafting that post moderating and organizing the boards in your list better, instead of expecting people to click through them all alphabetically and hope for the best. At the very least, run a simple scraper to check if a site is down and automate adding a warning icon to it or sort it separately.

How can you expect people to take your outrage seriously when the last site news entry is from May 2025, the last image board post is from September 2023 and this post about Comfychan is from August 2025? You had over two months to reply to that guy who said the site was dead. Given the board links itt I doubt you were replying to emails either. You could prevent all this shit just by adding a status page that you regularly update to show you’re still active even if the list doesn’t need maintenance.

        1. All Chans

          – The cloudflare block is on your end that you are triggering it. I can visit averi.foo without issue. I have triggered it before and there are about 8 sites where once triggered on one site, all sites will be blocked for a while. Change IP address – turn off wifi and go on mobile data if on a phone.

          – First it was “half the links dont work”, now its “a quarter had issues”, take away the cloudflare block, and it it really that bad before a cleanup? You make it sound like this is a paid service to access the list. It takes a while to load up 100+ sites and go through them. I do not do them all more than once a month and there are seasons where I have hobbies and let it ride, because its just some dead links, it isn’t the end of the world.

          – “or sites that get 10 posts a year” I want a level playing field on board links. The exception is when I pay $10 to get the top visited chan list data but that is separate from the list.

          – No front page post does not mean no updates. A lot of my updates are via email between people making requests and reports.

          – “Comfychan is from August 2025? You had over two months to reply to that guy who said the site was dead” – I don’t delete dead site posts – I add “-dead” to the post name and set the category to “Dead Image Boards”. I like keeping the history/screenshots, comments open for communication, and leave them in case the site comes back. And again, on a major site I’ll wait a while before marking it dead and removing the post since they are more likely to come back.

          – I tried scrapers and even paid for one once – they dont work well – they get flagged by cloudflare, tricked by ad page redirects, get hung up on sites that load slow, and dont catch when content has changed to non-imageboard content.

          – goeshard with posting disabled.. first time I have heard/noticed, I see posts from 10-13-25 on there. Havent decided if that is a big deal breaker for immediate removal when there is some content on the site still. I feel like a year would be the limit there. Ill keep an eye on it.

          – “all alphabetically” That is intentional, similar to above with an even field. I dont want to prioritize a selection of preferred high traffic boards. I want the little guys to get traffic as well, that was the point of this site from the start.

          – I cannot group the web rings with the menu setup I am using, which I like better than other ones I tested – I also don’t want to combine them.

          – “You could prevent all this shit just by adding a status page that you regularly update” I pay $300/yr to host this site, no ads, no income from it. Don’t be so needy? Provide your input, that is fair, without the nword crap, but dont be mad if I choose not to, or cannot implement all of it on your time frame.

          – I appreciate people providing info via comments, submissions, reports etc – that stuff helps a lot. Everything sits in my inbox until I have time and enough tasks to go through them. On removing dead sites, comments/reports are the best for me because I have a time stamp of it being down.

          – I do need to create more individual board posts. So I’ll take your comments as a push to make that happen. I definitly owe the site that, esp grabbing screenshots and dating them because I like tracking that stuff. I’ll make a front page post warning about those incoming soon because I’ll need some community help on history and board info.

            >First it was “half the links dont work”, now its “a quarter had issues”, take away the cloudflare block, and it it really that bad before a cleanup? You make it sound like this is a paid service to access the list.
If you need it to be more specific, it was “half the entries are dead sites, link to sites with connection issues because of old networking stacks or link to sites with one semi-active board and many dead ones whose main activity is CP link spam”. I don’t expect you to strongly police sites for activity, but look at 1chan. It’s a one board site full of broken links, it has an admin sticky from 2017 saying “we’ve all moved to discord” (which is apparently dead) and literally had less than 10 posts in 2025.
            > You make it sound like this is a paid service to access the list.
No, I make it sound like this place looked unmaintained and the issues with links at that time didn’t help. It’s a service that you run for free, but do you really want people to write it off as just another dead list of dead imageboards? That’s a waste of your time and money.
            > I want a level playing field on board links
            >all alphabetically
I didn’t say that you should a require a minimum number of daily or yearly posts to justify a place here or give priority to the more well known sites. I was talking about the user experience. If a site dies or has issues, then the smaller guys are more likely to get traffic if a bunch of similar sites are linked together somehow so the userbase knows where they can go for a similar site culture, instead of heading to a 4chan general or a discord server. Whether you group them manually based on webrings, site heritage, imageboard engine or just encourage people submitting sites to provide that data and put that into a standardized FAQ header in board info posts. I’d be happy to help fill those out.
            >I don’t delete dead site posts – I add “-dead” to the post name and set the category to “Dead Image Boards”. I like keeping the history/screenshots, comments open for communication, and leave them in case the site comes back.
I took that post on the 31st to mean that THIS site appeared dead to the users back then. I doubt duckdns went down in 10 days even if looks dead now.
            >Provide your input, that is fair, without the nword crap, but dont be mad if I choose not to, or cannot implement all of it on your time frame.
I appreciate that you’re trying and probably sick of running this place for so long, but this is a directory of imageboard links. Reacting like that to naughty words is why some autist finds it funny to spam your email with nigger.

Sorry if any duplicate posts show up, had issues on TBB where my reply wouldn’t appear after posting. It took a few minutes for the first one to go through.

            1. All Chans

I think the nword triggered moderation. Once one is triggered I think the rest got flagged as well for being similar. Good point on mentioning grouping in the individual posts and I’ll take any help for the history and knowledge I am missing.

      2. Anonymous

Also no one expects you to be an arbiter of imageboard quality or add stuff willy nilly, but you should take some advice from this thread and try to improve user experience with the sites that are already listed here. The list is dense as fuck, so why not group links up and let newfags know what’s an 8chan successor, what’s in the webring, what’s from the soysphere, which boards are in the kolyma network and so on? Of course people are going to have a negative reaction if they click through big list with zero context and keep finding broken links or sites that get 10 posts a year, without any indication of where they can look for a specific board culture.
