Soyjak.party

Soyjak.party, (or just "The party") is an imageboard dedicated to the creation, posting, and sharing of soyjaks. As the site has grown, its expanded to encompass many other topics as well. Please read the rules before posting. Serving 6,547,382 posts!Soyjak.st (the current domain for Soyjak.party, also known as The Sharty) is a major anonymous imageboard dedicated to the "Soyjak" meme culture and serves as the primary spiritual successor to 4chan’s defunct /qa/ (Question & Answer) board. 1. Key Dates and Registration Original Launch: The site was first launched as soyjak.party on September 20, 2020, by a pseudonymous 4chan user known as Soot. Current Domain Registration (soyjak.st): The .st domain was registered on September 26, 2024. The community migrated to this TLD (and others like .soy) following various hosting and domain stability issues with the original .party extension. First Wayback Machine Capture: While the original site has captures dating back to late 2020, the first captures for the soyjak.st URL appeared in October 2024, shortly after the domain was activated. 2. What is the site? Soyjak.st is a "Boutique Chan" that focuses almost exclusively on the creation, iteration, and "variant" posting of Soyjaks (MS Paint-style edits of the Wojak meme). The /qa/ Refugee Crisis: The site saw a massive influx of users in late 2021 after 4chan's administration permanently closed the /qa/ board. These users brought with them a specific, fast-paced, and highly ironic posting style known as "Soyspeak." Ownership History: The site has changed hands several times, often marked by community drama. Ownership transitioned from Soot (founder) to Kuz (2022), then to Doll (2023), Froot (August 2023), and is currently managed by an administrator known as Quote. Culture: The site is known for its highly insular slang (e.g., "gem," "coal," "chud," "brimstone") and a philosophy of "total soyjak victory." It has gained notoriety for its involvement in various internet "raids" and its antagonistic relationship with mainstream social media. 3. What does the name mean? Soyjak: A portmanteau of "Soy" (referring to the "soy boy" pejorative for a perceived lack of masculinity) and "Wojak" (the original Polish internet character). It refers to the specific caricatures of over-excited or distraught men used to mock modern internet consumers. st: The country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for São Tomé and Príncipe. Like many niche sites, it was likely chosen for its brevity and availability as a "safe" harbor for controversial content. The Sharty: A common community nickname for the site, which is a portmanteau of "Soyjak" and "Party." 8chan.moe

An independent competitor to 8chan, styled 8chan.moe, that was created in 2020 as a home for dispossessed imageboard communities from around the Internet. It has no affiliation with 8kun or that site's owners, but offers features similar to the original 8chan such as user-created boards and volunteer-managed communities. The site adheres to free-speech principles, although with a much stronger emphasis on prohibiting illegal content than the original 8chan had. Popular boards include: /v/ - Videogames/b/ - Random/hisrol/ - CYOA/vt/ - Vtuber General Discussion/digi/ - Net Hangout/t/ - Technology and computers/co/ - Comics and Cartoons/monarchy/, /liberty/, and /fascism/ - the political trifecta boards/hispachan/, /arepa/, /mex/, /ac/, and several other Spanish-language boards rescued from the collapse of Hispachan.org in 2022Several boards for all the various types of artwork and hentaiNiche fetish boards like /tkr/ - Tickling RefugeThe #GamerGate archive - /gamergatehq/and many, many, many more. 8chan.moe utilizes a powerful, dedicated server running Stephen Lynx's LynxChan imageboard software, which the site staff have played an active role in developing features for since 2020. The site possesses the most advanced frontend of any website using LynxChan, and the staff have developed several other open-source tools and novel concepts around the site, including distributed administration, custom caching solutions, streaming sites, imageboard database importers and converters, Tor-based video hosting, Tor-network proxies, and custom-coded anti-spam and anti-DDoS protective measures for the benefit of all anons who post there. 4chon

Founded by SaveTheInternet (STI), 4chon is the remnants of an imageboard community, now administered by HDV, that's existed throughout various domains on the web. It is now an active single board image board. The site originated from 4chon.net where the tinyboard software came from (which is what vichan forked from and most board owners are using now). Traffic Lag

Wapchan

wapchan is an imageboard that tries to go for a "classic net" feel through regular streams, game nights, and more. we're mostly focused around retro anime and manga, but we have some other boards as well. we also have a radio station, a IRC server, a BBS and much more! forget the soulless modern web and get comfy, friend. 1. Key Dates and Registration Domain Registration: The domain wapchan.org was first registered on December 30, 2021. Launch: According to the site’s own welcome message, it officially launched on New Year’s Day, 2022. First Wayback Machine Capture: The Internet Archive first captured the site on January 4, 2022, shortly after its debut. History: The site was created to fill a niche for fans of "Retro Anime" who felt that modern imageboards had become too focused on contemporary seasonal shows or toxic discourse. It is managed by a developer known as figamin. 2. What is the site? Wapchan is a community-run imageboard with a specific focus on pre-2000s anime and manga. Fandom Focus: It is most famous for its "Rumic World" board, which is dedicated to the works of legendary manga artist Rumiko Takahashi (creator of Urusei Yatsura, Ranma ½, and Inuyasha). The "Wholesome" Angle: Unlike many imageboards known for hostility, Wapchan has a dedicated "Random Acts of Kindness" board (/kind/) and explicitly promotes a more polite, hobbyist-focused atmosphere. Aesthetics: The site uses a "Web 1.0" visual style, featuring 8-bit graphics, MIDI-style music via a built-in radio station, and an interface that mimics the early 2000s internet experience. It even includes a "WAP" (Wireless Application Protocol) optimized version for older mobile devices. 3. What does the name mean? The name is a clever double-reference: Wapanese: The site’s official FAQ states that Wapchan is short for "Wapanese Channel." "Wapanese" (a portmanteau of Wannabe-Japanese) was the original internet slang term for a Western fan obsessed with Japanese culture before the word "Weeaboo" was coined on 4chan in 2005. WAP: The name also plays on Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), the standard used for mobile internet in the late 90s and early 2000s, fitting the site's retro-tech theme. Chan: The standard suffix for imageboards. 6/30/2023 screenshot after major updates 12-11-23 marked dead 12-16-23 its back! Images 1-2026
